Denise has held an Environmental Health Department licence to run Cavalier Cattery since 2001, and has a background in animal welfare and wildlife legislation (Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, Department of Anthropology, University of Kent at Canterbury).

With over 9 years experience of caring for your cats, Denise has built up an enviable reputation locally. We are proud to say that many of our clients have been bringing their cats to board with us for many years, and, in addition, new clients are discovering Cavalier Cattery on a daily basis!

After consultation with local Vets, Denise has recently launched a new Small Animals Boarding Service at Cavalier Cattery to assist those with ‘families’ of different types of small animals needing to be looked after whilst their owners are away.

I very much enjoy looking after the pets at Cavalier Cattery. I love spending my time caring for animals and I treat all cats and small pets as though they were my own.

I have 8 years experience working at animal boarding establishments and a pet shop. This Summer I graduated with an Animal Science Degree from Hadlow College and I am continuing my studies for a further two years. I am experienced in administering medication, including eye drops, tablets and injections.

I also enjoy grooming and getting to know each cat's personality during their stay at Cavalier.

I really enjoy working here at Cavalier Cattery as I love spending time with the cats! The range of different personalities that come in is amazing and it´s lovely to get to know them all.

As well as working here, I also work part time for the RSPCA, at a cat rehoming centre. Therefore I have experience with the needs of individual cats and am very familiar with giving medication and providing special diets.

I have 4 cats, a rabbit, a hamster and 2 guinea pigs of my own, so I also enjoy caring for the smaller animals that stay here at Cavalier.

We always make sure that the cats get lots of attention, but it´s also good knowing that people can leave their cats here with peace of mind that they will be well cared for and have a little holiday of their own!

I love getting to know the different personalities of all the cats during their stay with us. My main ambition is to become a Veterinary Nurse and my role in the cattery definitely strengthens both my enthusiasm for this and the characteristics a Veterinary Nurse requires.

I also work part time in a veterinary practice and have two of my own cats, so am very used to both looking after cats and giving them the attention they love! I board my own cats at Cavalier Cattery and I know your pet will be in the best possible hands at Cavalier!.
